Planning a wedding should be one of the most exciting experiences in your life — but for many couples, especially those in the LGBTQ+ community or from underrepresented backgrounds, it can still feel like navigating a space that wasn’t built with them in mind.

At Botanical Weddings, we believe the wedding industry needs to do better — and we’re proudly trying to be part of the change.

💚 Our Approach to Inclusive Weddings

We don’t just create beautiful, plant-filled wedding spaces (although we love doing that too). We work hard to make sure every couple feels safe, seen, and celebrated — just as they are.

Inclusivity for us means:

Using gender-inclusive language in all our communications and materials
Celebrating LGBTQ+ love stories with the same care and enthusiasm we bring to every wedding
Supporting cultural expression and tradition, however it looks for you
Making space for learning, always — because inclusivity is an ongoing journey, not a finished product

✨ The Problem With “Bride & Groom”

Let’s talk about something small that speaks volumes.

We still come across wedding forms and vendor emails that start with:
“Please enter the name of the bride and groom.”

Now imagine being a same-sex couple, a non-binary partner, or just two people who don’t resonate with those roles. That tiny box can feel incredibly uncomfortable — or even excluding.

Inclusive language is easy to implement, and it makes a world of difference. “Couple’s names” or “Partner 1 / Partner 2” is a simple switch. But more than that, it shows your values.

We believe every wedding supplier should be actively educating themselves — because love has always existed in every form. It’s the industry that needs to catch up.
