Some weddings just leave a little magic lingering in the air – and Georgie & Lucy’s day at The Loft in Plymouth was exactly that.

Full of love, joy, and lush greenery, this was a day rooted in meaning and connection. With a heartfelt ceremony, personal touches throughout, and a setting transformed by living plants, it was clear this wedding was all about celebrating what matters most: family, friendship, and love.

We were thrilled to style their day with our eco-conscious wedding decor, using real potted plants to turn this unique venue into something unforgettable.

A Road Trip with Purpose (and Plants!)

We travelled from Hereford (in the West Midlands) the evening before, van packed with thriving greenery and our signature plant decor. Once we arrived, our first job was checking on the plants. We always make sure they’re hydrated, looking their best, and ready to shine.

After a good night’s sleep, we were up early and headed to the venue. Familiarity with the space and a plan in place always helps the morning run smoothly.

Ceremony Styling: A Foliage-Filled Backdrop

We started with a full-width greenery arch layered with ferns, ivy, pothos, and prayer plants. Paired with soft drapes and scattered disco balls, it brought atmosphere and soul to the ceremony space without overwhelming the natural charm of the venue.

This was a backdrop designed to frame their vows in a way that felt alive, organic, and romantic.

The ceremony itself was filled with emotion and joy. There were heartfelt vows, big laughs, and even a visit from their dog before the reception – a moment that brought smiles to everyone watching and reflected the couple’s love of family and personal touches.

Aisle Decor & Venue Styling

For the aisle, we brought together a mix of natural textures and warm details:

  • Wooden blocks and pampas vases
  • Cascading ivy and mini disco balls
  • A mix of standing and tabletop plants to enhance the flow

Rather than overloading the room, each element was carefully placed to fill spaces thoughtfully and create a cohesive, relaxed setting that reflected the couple perfectly.

Take-Down with Care

The next day, we returned to gently pack down the plant decor. Every plant was carefully loaded and returned to our sister company: Löv Leaf House Plant shop, where they continue to thrive and are reused in future weddings.

We manage all delivery, set-up and take-down so you don’t have to lift a finger – and because everything is reusable, nothing goes to waste. It’s our way of making weddings more beautiful and better for the planet.
